Good design is as little design as possible. The design is reduced to only what is necessary allowing for the shapes to showcase the unique qualities of the material. Each concrete tile is handcrafted in Saskatchewan, which resembles travertine stone acting as a center of gravity for maximum use around the dinning table. The decorative concrete is used on the central base to provide a sturdy center of gravity owing to its calculated weight. The base’s small footprint allows for unobstructed movement around the tabletop. Having a flowerpot built into the tabletop speaks to the intimate connection between dining and the agricultural world.
